Developed as part of the brand’s PANGAIA Lab platform, the (gaia)PLNT Nylon collection stands as a compelling example of how science-led innovation can reduce environmental impact without sacrificing style, function, or durability. EVO® yarn is produced from castor plants, a resilient, non-GMO crop grown in arid climates with minimal water. The material boasts a 25% reduction in carbon emissions compared to conventional polyamide, according to ISO-certified life cycle assessments.
The castor oil-based monomers are transformed into a high-performance polyamide (PA), delivering a fossil-fuel-free alternative with the technical capabilities required for modern apparel—strength, versatility, and exceptional moisture management. EVO® nylon is also 25% lighter than conventional polyester and dries 50% faster than standard nylon, with added benefits such as natural thermal insulation and bacteriostatic properties that help manage odour.
PANGAIA’s capsule collection blends this advanced material science with refined aesthetics. The designs channel quiet confidence through structured tailoring, clean silhouettes, and architectural lines—embodying a modern, minimalistic approach to performance wear. Each piece is crafted in London, showcasing thoughtful construction techniques and sustainable details, such as zips with recycled PET tape and nickel-free metal pullers.
