On October 8th, Wax London, the contemporary British menswear brand, will open its first store outside of the capital this October, launching within the historic Victoria Quarter in Leeds. The 2,392 sq ft space will sit alongside British heritage names including Barbour and Mulberry, marking a significant moment in the brand’s expansion.
The store has been designed to act as a physical showcase of Wax London’s ethos, bringing its focus on craft, character, and detail into a distinctive retail environment. Customers will discover interiors that reflect the brand’s dedication to quality and longevity, with features such as vintage oak Drapers’ tables fitted with reclaimed storage drawers, aged brass shelving units, and marble display plinths. Custom Wax London fabric curtains in the fitting rooms add a personal touch, while oversized mirrors, oak-framed campaign photography, and curated wall merchandising create an immersive setting.
Managing Director Roger Wightman explained that every element of the store has been designed to reflect the brand’s values: “Every detail of the store has been carefully considered to reflect who we are as a brand – from the materials and finishes to the atmosphere we’ve created. It’s a place where people can experience the essence of Wax London, brought to life through design, quality, and craft.”
The Leeds opening has also been welcomed by Victoria Quarter’s leasing team. Rachel Bradburn, Head of Leasing at Redical, described the move as a strong addition to the scheme’s line-up, noting that, “Wax London is the latest brand to choose Victoria Leeds as its first standalone store outside of the capital. This aligns perfectly with our commitment to curating a best-in-class retail offering. Wax London will not only enhance our menswear offer but also introduce a fresh dynamic to our tenant mix – bringing something distinctively different for our visitors to discover and enjoy.”
Alongside its full menswear collection, the new store will also feature accessories and footwear, giving customers the complete Wax London experience. Founded in 2015, the London-based label is distinguished by its commitment to sourcing unique fabrics, textures, and prints from sustainable mills and partners, creating designs inspired by British heritage and global influences. Each piece is made with the intention of being worn and re-worn, reinforcing the brand’s belief in characterful clothing built to last.
