Veja, the French sustainable sneaker brand known for its environmental and ethical credentials, is strengthening its circular fashion strategy with the rollout of a new tech-enabled after-sales repair service, delivered in partnership with aftercare platform Prolong.
The service, which launched in March and is set to manage all of Veja’s after-sales needs in France by the end of the year, allows customers to access a transparent and streamlined repair journey. Using Prolong’s digital platform, customers can track every stage of the process, from initial drop-off to final re-delivery, reinforcing Veja’s ethos of repair over replacement.
“Our aim was to make the repair journey as smooth and thoughtful as the purchase itself,” said Daniel Schmitt, Head of Repair Operations at Veja. “With Prolong, our customers can track every step of the process with full transparency and confidence.”
The initiative builds on Veja’s ongoing investment in repair infrastructure, which has already resulted in more than 50,000 pairs being repaired to date. By extending product life and embedding care into the customer experience, the brand continues to push forward its mission to reduce waste and promote responsible consumption.
Founded in 2005, Veja has built its reputation on transparency, fair trade and ecological responsibility. It sources raw materials like wild rubber directly from seringueiro communities in the Amazon, reducing water use, energy consumption and emissions.
The new repair programme aligns these values with Prolong’s B2B SaaS platform, which enables fashion brands to unify repairs, returns and product care into a single experience, scalable across channels and regions.
“VEJA is proving that the future of fashion happens after the sale,” said Tanguy Frécon, CEO of Prolong. “By investing in circularity and customer relationships, they’re building a model that’s both responsible and resilient.”
While the programme begins in France, there are plans for international expansion—further solidifying Veja’s role in redefining what sustainable fashion looks like beyond the point of purchase.
