Pearl Lowe is set to collaborate with renowned auction house Dore & Rees on what will be her biggest auction to date, bringing together a remarkable selection of rare antiques, textiles and unique decorative treasures from her Somerset home. The sale will be held both online and in person at Dore & Rees in Frome, giving collectors and admirers worldwide the chance to acquire pieces from Lowe’s deeply personal and distinctive interiors.

The auction will feature approximately 130 lots, each reflecting Pearl Lowe’s signature aesthetic of bohemian glamour, romantic vintage sensibility and rock-and-roll chic. Spanning more than two decades of collecting, the pieces range from antique furniture and textiles to mirrors, lighting, portraits and quirky objets, all selected and lived with by Lowe in her home and studio.

The full catalogue will be available to browse online from 9 January, allowing bidders early access to the breadth of the collection. A public viewing will take place at Dore & Rees in Frome from 20–22 January, when the saleroom will be transformed by the nostalgic and layered style for which Lowe is celebrated.

“Every piece carries a story,” says Pearl Lowe. “These objects have been loved, lived with and used in my homes. It feels like the perfect time for them to have a new life with someone who will treasure them as much as I have.”

The collaboration marks a significant moment for Dore & Rees, which is based in the heart of Frome, where Lowe is also a long-standing resident. Lee Young, who acquired the auction house in 2021, describes the sale as an authentic expression of Lowe’s creative vision. “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with one of Frome’s most celebrated residents,” he says. “Working with a designer like Pearl, with her own curatorial vision and distinct style, makes selling the collection very much an expression of her own identity.”

Young emphasises that the auction house’s role is to support and facilitate that vision. “We are simply enabling Pearl to bring her collection to market in her own way, and in her own style. Our job is to make sure everyone bidding finds it easy and enjoyable, from wherever they are in the world, whether they’re new to auction or a seasoned pro.”

With Pearl Lowe’s cult following spanning fashion, interiors and music, interest in the sale is already high. The auction is expected to attract collectors, stylists and long-time admirers eager to own a tangible piece of her world. “This sale presents a really unique opportunity for buyers who love Pearl’s aesthetic to acquire unique items from her Somerset home,” Young adds. “On sale day expect some fierce bidding and a good dose of glamour.”

The auction promises to be a celebration of vintage English eccentricity, creative individuality and timeless romance, offering insight into the interiors of one of Britain’s most influential style figures. The sale will take place on 23 January 2025 at Dore & Rees, Frome, with bidding available online and in person.
