PANGAIA has launched its most advanced plant-based activewear collection to date: 365 Seamless Activewear. The range introduces a new material system built entirely from renewable sources and marks the first commercial use of regen™ BIO Max elastane, a bio-based stretch fibre developed by Hyosung.

Made from 98% renewable feedstock, including industrial corn, regen™ BIO Max is designed to meet the technical standards of conventional elastane while significantly reducing environmental impact. Independent life cycle assessments report a 27% lower carbon footprint and 82% less ozone depletion compared to conventional spandex. By using this fibre, PANGAIA is offering a viable alternative to fossil-based stretch materials without compromising on durability, recovery or performance.

The base yarn of the collection is EVO® Nylon by Fulgar, derived from castor beans and other renewable resources. EVO® is lightweight, thermoregulating, breathable, and quick-drying. It offers comparable or improved functionality over traditional nylon, with the added benefit of being non-toxic and suitable for prolonged skin contact.

All pieces in the collection are treated with PPRMINT™, PANGAIA’s peppermint oil-based odour control technology. This antimicrobial finish helps neutralise odour-causing bacteria and keeps garments fresher between washes, reducing the need for frequent laundering.

The launch includes five streamlined styles designed for performance and comfort: a compressive ribbed tank top, zipped long sleeve top, zipped short sleeve top, compressive leggings, and compressive shorts. Seamless construction offers a close-to-skin fit that moves with the body, while the material system maintains breathability and stretch. Each style is available in Black, Gaia Blue, and Dewy Rose—tones inspired by natural elements.

While the activewear category continues to rely heavily on virgin synthetics, PANGAIA’s use of fully bio-based fibres reflects a shift toward regenerative material systems. By replacing traditional elastane and nylon with alternatives derived from plants and renewable resources, the collection presents a lower-impact solution designed for longevity and daily use.

365 Seamless Activewear is available globally from 29 May 2025 at PANGAIA.com and at the brand’s London store at 57 Carnaby Street, W1F 9QF.
