Following major success across Europe—including stores in Frankfurt, Vienna and Amsterdam—Kapten & Son will open its first UK flagship store in London’s Seven Dials on Thursday, 16 May. The launch marks a significant step in the brand’s global expansion and introduces British customers to its signature blend of minimalist design, functionality and interactive retail.

The new store offers a series of hands-on experience stations designed to help visitors find their perfect backpack. A dedicated packing table allows shoppers to test capacity in real time, while a size check station ensures products meet hand luggage requirements—ideal for frequent flyers. At the centre of the experience is the “Magic Mirror”, a cutting-edge digital fitting tool that shows how each backpack looks from behind, removing the guesswork from choosing the right style and fit.

Founded in Germany, Kapten & Son is now available in over 50 countries and stocked by more than 300 retail partners worldwide. The brand’s London debut reflects its commitment to building a purpose-driven community of modern travellers through immersive, tech-enabled retail experiences.
