The Global Fashion Summit 2025, organised by the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA), took place from 3–5 June at the Copenhagen Concert Hall. Under the theme 'Barriers and Bridges', the summit addressed the dualities facing the fashion industry, such as the tension between voluntary initiatives and mandatory regulations, and the need to balance creative innovation with compliance demands.
The summit featured over 110 speakers, including Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark; Marie-Claire Daveu, Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer at Kering; Mehdi Benabadji, CEO of Brioni; Ryan Gellert, CEO of Patagonia Works & Patagonia; and Adam Karlsson, CFO of H&M Group. Discussions spanned topics like climate leadership, business resilience, regulatory compliance, and radical innovation.
A key component of the summit was the Innovation Forum, which showcased sustainable solutions across the fashion value chain, from pioneering materials to advanced end-of-use processes. Attendees engaged with solution providers and participated in the Matchmaking Programme, facilitating tailored collaborations to advance sustainability strategies.
The summit underscored the importance of collective action in addressing social and environmental challenges. As the fashion industry faces increasing pressure to adapt and innovate within a complex regulatory environment, the Global Fashion Summit 2025 highlighted pathways to align financial viability with the planet's needs, ensuring that sustainability remains a priority amid economic volatility.
