Accelerating Circularity will take the stage at the Textile Exchange Conference 2025: Shifting Landscapes in Lisbon (October 13–17), leading a pivotal workshop on one of the sector’s most complex barriers to circularity: separating trims and overlooked components to enable genuine textile-to-textile recycling.

The session, Scaling Circular Systems for Trims and Other Ignored Materials (CSTIM), will be held on Wednesday, October 15, from 8:00–9:30 AM. Designed as an interactive discussion, the workshop will unpack real-world challenges, share operational case studies, and provide attendees with actionable strategies to advance circularity across their own supply chains.

Over the past two years, Accelerating Circularity’s CSTIM working group has conducted extensive research, testing, and documentation to address the separation of trims and non-fibre components — long recognised as a bottleneck to scalable circular systems. The initiative has focused on identifying efficient methods to handle these materials while maintaining commercial viability.

“Trims and overlooked materials are often dismissed as too complex or too costly to address, but they represent a critical piece of the circularity puzzle,” said [Spokesperson Name], [Title] at Accelerating Circularity. “This session is about equipping industry stakeholders with tangible solutions that can be applied right now.”

Participants in the CSTIM workshop will explore practical solutions emerging from live operations that are already proving circularity is possible today. They will gain insights to implement immediately within their organisations and connect with peers facing similar challenges across the textile value chain.

Attendance for the workshop is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
